Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 10:30 AM-3:30 PM The Law Office of Pietro Canestrelli is seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Part-Time Mail & Office Clerk to support the daily operations of our law office. This is an in-office position with responsibility for handling highly sensitive and confidential client mail, documents, payments, and office materials . The right person will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and understand that even seemingly simple office tasks can be extremely important in a law firm environment.
Compensation:
$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
Manage the firm's daily confidential mail process , including collecting, opening, reviewing, sorting, scanning, routing, and distributing mail according to firm procedures. Identify mail involving clients, tax agencies, government agencies, deadlines, notices, or other time-sensitive matters and ensure it is routed promptly to the appropriate team member. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling client information, legal documents, financial information, tax records, correspondence, and other sensitive materials. Complete daily mail, postage, shipping, and document drop-offs and pick-ups as needed. Travel to the post office, shipping locations, and other nearby locations for firm-related errands. Receive and professionally assist clients who come to the office for document drop-offs, pickups, payments, or other scheduled office needs . Accept and properly route client payments according to firm procedures. Scan, copy, file, organize, and distribute documents. Assist with general clerical and administrative projects as assigned. Monitor basic office supplies and notify the appropriate team member when items need to be reordered or replenished. Help keep shared office areas organized, stocked, and presentable. Water and maintain office plants on a regular schedule. Provide light office support to attorneys, leadership, and administrative staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Extremely reliable and punctual. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Professional, friendly, and comfortable interacting with clients. Able to handle highly confidential information with discretion and sound judgment. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of recurring daily responsibilities. Strong organizational and basic computer skills. Ability to scan, email, copy, upload, and organize electronic and physical documents. Ability to safely handle checks, payments, and other sensitive client materials. Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing . Must have access to reliable transportation. Must maintain current automobile insurance on any vehicle used for firm-related driving . Ability to complete local errands during scheduled work hours.
