POSITION OVERVIEW JOB SUMMARY
Serves as primary UWF Post Office Postal Clerk. Responsible for performing the specialized functions within UWF Postal Services including mail pickup, delivery, processing and preparations, sorting, computing postage charges for outgoing mail and preparations for all mail being dispatched to the US Postal Service. Must possess a good working knowledge of all US Postal Service rules and regulations, and be able to interpret and apply US Postal Service, UWF Postal Services and University guidelines. The clerk performs passport agency duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Basic math, communication and computer skills and knowledge of US Postal Service rules and regulations, UWF Postal Services policies/procedures and university rules. Knowledge of all university departments, personnel and locations in order to sort and deliver mail.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma and five years experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical Requirements:
Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely results would be cuts, bruises, etc.
