Job Description

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up mail, packages and equipment throughout the USF St. Petersburg campus community. Processing all outgoing mail and packages. This position requires physical abilities such as trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist & finger movement in order to perform the essential functions. The operation of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklift, along with operation of motor vehicles and golf carts are required for this position. Staff assigned to this position must be able to work efficiently as well as adapt to new processes and procedures which effect the work they do.
Minimum Qualifications :
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. No previous experience required.
Preferred Qualification:
One or more years of mailroom and/or shipping & receiving experience. Courier service or postal delivery experience. One of more years of office experience to include copying, filing and computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Forklift operation experience. Organizes and delivers main and packages to the USF St. Petersburg campus. Daily mail runs should take 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. Receives scientific, educational, maintenance and office equipment and supplies. Identify incoming shipments by University purchase orders. Log in packages and generate delivery tickets for accountable packages. Collect and sort University mail, U.S. mail and packages Processes outgoing mail packages. Check UPS and Postal websites for new shipping and mailing regulations. Input data entry for daily ticket logs and daily count sheets. Cleans mailroom and loading dock. Assist in finding processing University property. Monitor all mailroom communications and respond as required to communications addressed to them.
