Full-Time Postal Route Driver Location:
Center Point, Louisiana Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Regularly scheduled route We are seeking a dependable and responsible Full-Time Postal Route Driver to operate a designated mail delivery route in Central Louisiana. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering U.S. Postal Service mail between designated postal facilities and/or delivery locations according to an established route and schedule. This position is ideal for an individual who is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working independently, and able to consistently meet scheduled departure and arrival times. Responsibilities Operate a company-approved vehicle safely and responsibly. Pick up and transport U.S. Postal Service mail along an assigned route. Deliver mail to designated postal facilities and locations according to the established schedule. Maintain accurate route and delivery records as required. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Safeguard all mail and postal materials while in your possession. Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety procedures, and postal requirements. Maintain reliable attendance and arrive at scheduled pickup and delivery locations on time. Communicate professionally with postal personnel and company management. Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good operating condition. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean and responsible driving history. Reliable transportation to and from the route. Ability to pass any required background checks and meet applicable postal contractor requirements. Ability to safely operate a vehicle for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and handle mail and packages as required. Strong punctuality, reliability, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional and courteous attitude. Previous delivery, courier, transportation, or commercial driving experience is a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to enter and exit the vehicle frequently. Ability to lift and carry mail and packages.
