Job Description

Inbound Handler
I POSITION SUMMARY
Unloads trailers with cartons and/or hanging products and builds pallets with inventory.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Verifies that the trailer has been initiated, unlocks safety latch, operates dock plate and moves/positions the flex conveyor as needed. Follow all CTPAT security trailer inspections. Works inside or outside trailer to off load cases or hanging garments. Move cases from Inbound sort lanes, using RF scanners to scan cases onto a pallet. Apply labels and push rolling pallet onto conveyor. Remove box jams on conveyor and sorter, clear re-circulation lines, move pallets and sort assignments as needed. Must become certified to drive a forklift (Electric Pallet Jack "Walkie", Sit-down and/or Stand-up forklift) to move pallets to and from Inbound and other departments as assigned Crosstrain in other departments to fill-in as needed Additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education High school diploma or GED preferred. Relevant Work Experience Prior warehouse experience a plus. Physical Requirements Lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Reach above shoulder level and bend down to floor level. Stand for 8 - 10 hours per day. Able to tolerate hot/cold conditions in trailers depending on the weather. - Inbound Handler II performs the duties above but also is certified to drive a forklift (Electric Pallet Jack "Walkie", Sit-down and/or Stand-up forklift) to move pallets to and from Inbound and other departments as assigned.
