Administrative & Delivery Operations Assoc Food 4 Maryland | College Park, MD $20/hour | 1099 Independent Contractor | 25-40 Hours/Week | Immediate Start Food 4 Maryland is a fast-growing nonprofit organization providing fresh, medically supportive meals and food assistance to individuals and families throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region. We are looking for a high-energy, dependable, organized person who can wear multiple hats and get things done. This is NOT just a delivery driver position. We need someone who can communicate professionally, handle administrative responsibilities, stay organized, solve problems, and also jump behind the wheel and complete weekly deliveries. What You'll Do Handle day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks Communicate professionally by phone, text, and email Assist with scheduling, paperwork, data entry, follow-ups, and general office needs Help coordinate deliveries, routes, clients, and partner organizations Drive company vehicles and make food and meal deliveries throughout the region Load and unload meal boxes and supplies Communicate with staff and delivery locations while on the road Handle changing priorities without needing constant supervision Help wherever needed to keep a growing nonprofit operation moving Schedule This position averages approximately 25-40 hours per week , depending on organizational needs and, importantly, your productivity, reliability, communication skills, administrative abilities, and ability to handle deliveries. The schedule is not a traditional 9-to-5. Some days may begin around 7:00 AM , while other days may begin around 10:00 AM . Work is generally scheduled Sunday through Friday , with hours varying depending on deliveries, administrative needs, and weekly operations. Flexibility is important. Who We're Looking For We want someone who is: Extremely dependable and punctual A strong communicator Comfortable working independently Organized and detail-oriented Good with computers, email, and basic administrative work Able to follow directions the first time and use common sense Comfortable driving and navigating throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. Professional when interacting with hospitals, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, clients, and community partners Physically capable of loading, carrying, and delivering boxes of meals and supplies Able to adapt quickly when plans change Motivated to earn additional hours by demonstrating reliability, productivity, and versatility A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Compensation $20 per hour — 1099 independent contractor position Approximately 25-40 hours per week , with the opportunity for additional hours based on performance and organizational needs.
