Job Description
Job Summary The Mailroom Associate will play an important role in keeping mail, packages, supplies, and workplace services running smoothly. - Sort, scan, stage, and process incoming and outgoing letters, packages, and mailroom materials.
- Operate USPS postage equipment and prepare FedEx shipping labels accurately.
- Deliver packages and mail across campus mailstops using small carts and flatbed carts.
- Track package numbers in computer systems and respond to customer delivery status emails.
- Restock office supplies and maintain breakroom coffee and water stations.
- Adapt to changing daily delivery schedules while maintaining professional service standards. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hour.Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.Location:
Saint Paul, MN.Job Type:
Temp-to-Hire. Required Qualifications and Skills- Handle daily mail sorting, scanning, staging, and shipping preparation.
- Complete campus package deliveries using carts and campus mailstop routes.
- Track package information and communicate delivery updates by email.
- Support facility services by restocking supplies and maintaining breakroom stations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant mailroom, records, administrative, clerical, warehouse, package handling, or facilities support experience.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and computer-based tracking tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, move throughout campus, and lift up to 50 lbs independently.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs with assistance when needed.
- Ability to read campus maps and adjust to changing daily schedules.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, customer service skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a mailroom, campus services, package delivery, shipping and receiving, facilities, or office support environment.
- Familiarity with USPS postage machines, FedEx shipping labels, package scanning, or mail tracking systems.
- Comfort working in an active role that combines administrative tasks with physical movement throughout the day.
