Overview Join our dynamic team as a City Carrier Assistant and become a vital part of delivering excellence to our community! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting packages, parcels, and mail within designated routes. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help ensure timely deliveries, exceptional customer service, and smooth warehouse operations. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles including box trucks and personal vehicles to complete daily routes Load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks Follow all traffic regulations and adhere to DOT (Department of Transportation) standards during route driving Deliver packages directly to customers' doorsteps with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation Use mobile devices for route navigation, delivery tracking, and communication with dispatch teams Assist with warehouse operations including moving shipments, stacking boxes, and managing inventory using manual handling practices Experience Previous warehouse experience or experience in delivery driving is highly preferred Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices in a busy environment Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus Knowledge of traffic regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills Ability to perform physical tasks involving moving goods, manual handling, and heavy lifting regularly Join us to be part of a dedicated team that values safety, efficiency, and exceptional service.
