Overview Join our dynamic team as a Rural Carrier Associate and become a vital part of delivering excellence to communities! In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting and delivering packages along designated rural routes. Your energetic approach and commitment to customer service will ensure timely deliveries, foster positive relationships with customers, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Deliver packages directly to customers' residences or businesses, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to maintain safety and compliance with company policies. Utilize mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication with dispatch teams. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items, ensuring proper weight distribution and manual handling procedures. Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and reports related to route activities and package status. Qualifications Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles; a valid driver's license is required. Experience with delivery driving, courier services, or moving operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and safe driving practices is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; physical stamina for manual handling tasks is necessary. Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Strong understanding of traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and weight handling in the workplace. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward clients. Comfort using mobile devices for route management and communication purposes.
