In this role, you will be responsible for accurately sorting, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail to ensure timely delivery and seamless workflow. Responsibilities Sort incoming and outgoing mail using manual handling techniques, automatic inserting machines, and shipment sorting equipment to ensure accurate delivery. Operate warehouse materials handling equipment such as forklifts safely to load, unload, and move packages within the facility. Perform data entry tasks related to mail processing, shipment tracking, and inventory management using Microsoft Office tools. Organize and file shipping documents, labels, and records to maintain efficient warehouse distribution workflows. Assist with shipping & receiving processes by preparing packages for shipment, verifying shipment details, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct outdoor work activities including yard checks, fence inspections, and yard audits to uphold security standards. Support customer service efforts by providing timely updates on mail status and addressing internal requests with professionalism. Requirements Prior experience in warehouse operations or materials handling is preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely; forklift certification is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for sorting accuracy and recordkeeping. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly throughout the shift. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment quantities. Experience with automatic inserting machines or mail processing equipment is advantageous. Excellent communication skills combined with a customer service-oriented mindset. Willingness to work outdoors when necessary and adapt to various warehouse environments.
