Duties Safely load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts. Drive a box truck or personal vehicle along designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Deliver packages directly to customers' homes or businesses, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs while providing friendly customer service. Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update status reports, and communicate with dispatch teams throughout your route. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation during daily deliveries. Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual lifting practices that prioritize safety when handling heavy or bulky items. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, route progress, and any incidents encountered during shifts. Requirements Prior experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or courier services is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Proven ability to lift heavy packages safely while following safe lifting practices and adhering to weight handling regulations in the workplace. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices for load & unload activities. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward community engagement. Comfortable working with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including moving packages, loading/unloading cargo, and standing or walking for extended periods.
