Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Rural Carrier Associate, where you will play a vital role in delivering packages efficiently and reliably to rural communities. This energetic position involves navigating various routes, handling diverse cargo, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties Safely operate different types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, and personal vehicles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Deliver parcels to designated addresses within assigned routes, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs. Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update route information, and communicate with dispatch teams effectively. Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including sorting packages and managing inventory using manual handling equipment. Maintain vehicle safety by conducting routine inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Provide excellent customer service by engaging courteously with recipients and addressing any delivery concerns professionally. Qualifications Prior experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate commercial trucks, box trucks, or van drivers with manual transmission is preferred. Experience with commercial driving, including adherence to DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, moving packages, and load & unload tasks regularly throughout shifts. Familiarity with route driving, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and safe lifting techniques. Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicle operation. Excellent customer service skills combined with reliable navigation skills using mobile devices for route management.
