Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load, unload, and organize packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Drive assigned routes efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of parcels to residential and commercial customers. Manually handle heavy packages with proper lifting practices to prevent injury and maintain safety standards. Use mobile devices to track deliveries, update route progress, and communicate with dispatch or team members as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience. Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation for each route in compliance with company policies. Qualifications Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Experience driving commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar large vehicles is highly desirable. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on safe driving practices and route management. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy packages safely and using manual transmission vehicles if required. Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT standards, and weight handling in the workplace is essential. Comfortable operating material handling equipment like pallet jacks; experience with moving or loading goods is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse environments. Valid driver's license suitable for commercial driving; a driver license or courier certification may be advantageous.
