Job Description

Position Summary North Columbus Jaycees is a leadership training organization focused on helping individuals develop communication, leadership, management, and practical life skills while contributing to the community. We are looking for a dependable Mail Processing Specialist to help manage incoming and outgoing mail, documents, packages, and organizational materials. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the organization and helps keep information and materials organized for community projects and leadership activities. No previous experience is required, and training will be provided. Responsibilities Receive and sort incoming mail, correspondence, and packages. Organize mail and documents for distribution to the appropriate individuals or teams. Prepare outgoing letters, forms, informational materials, and packages for mailing. Check addresses, labels, and mailing information for accuracy. Sort and organize materials related to community projects and organizational activities. Maintain simple records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Scan, copy, label, and file documents as needed. Prepare envelopes, shipping labels, and other mailing materials. Monitor mailroom and office supplies and notify the team when additional supplies are needed. Help keep mail processing areas clean, organized, and ready for daily use. Assist with general administrative tasks related to communication and community programs. Handle organizational documents and correspondence in a responsible and confidential manner. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to sort, categorize, and track documents and mail accurately. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently or with a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. No previous experience required; training provided. Preferred Qualifications Interest in community involvement, leadership development, or organizational activities. Comfortable handling routine administrative and mail-related tasks. Pay:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
