Job Description

Key Responsibilities Process incoming mail/packages for students and employees. 1.) Participate in the receipt, inspection and distribution of all incoming mail/packages. 2.) Possess thorough knowledge of chain of custody policies and procedures. 3.) Utilizing the college's arrival tracking system ensures timely receipt and storage of all incoming mail/packages. 4.) Distribute mail/packages to students and employees in such a way to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. 5.) Assist with the locker package delivery system and assist students with package retrieval. Process outgoing mail/packages for students and employees. 1.) Knowledge of UPS and USPS shipping/mailing regulations and pricing. 2.) Ensure proper metering, addressing and labelling of all outgoing mail/packages using the college's shipping/metering equipment. 3.) Assist customers with their selection of proper mailing services and postage options. Retail counter sales for postage, shipping and campus store merchandise. 1.) Accurately complete retail transactions using the college's point of sale system. 2.) Compliance with college cash handling policy and procedures. 3.) Assist walk up customers in a competent, professional and knowledgeable manner. General office duties; in conjunction with others 1.) Answer phones and assist callers in a professional manner. 2.) Maintain a clean and organized working environment which includes dusting and cleaning equipment to maintain good working order. 3.) Restocks inventory and supplies. 4.) Assist with academic year end student mail cleanout and box number reassignments. 5.) Take out trash/recycling. Print Shop Support. 1.) Help with finishing work in the Print Shop area, (folding/packaging/sorting). Large print orders often need folded before packaging. 2.) Moving paper stock, carrying finished paper products and shelving reams of paper in storage areas. 3.) May load paper into the large printers or use other print shop area equipment under supervision. Experience and Qualifications Entry level position, no prior experience required High School Diploma/GED required Required Knowledge Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Google Suite Products Required Skills and Abilities Customer service Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail Problem solving and decision-making skills Compensation Expected starting salary : $15.80 hourly
