Job Description

Our client, an International distributor is looking for a Mail Sorter in Smyrna, TN to join their team. In this role, responsibilities will involve repetitive tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking throughout your shift to sort mail, scan packages, and maintain the smooth flow of operations.
Your Day:
Loading and unloading boxes of items from trucks, trailers, or other vehicles Organizing or rearranging items by type or category Preparing items for shipping by labeling boxes with shipping information, packing items into boxes, and applying postage Keeping records of items shipped and received, including tracking numbers and dates of shipments Reading shipping orders and identifying items to be shipped Communicating with customers about issues with shipments and processing refunds or exchanges
About You:
High School Diploma Ability to work as a team with other sorters Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required Have good communication skills Problem-solving skills You must be physically fit to work for long hours without breaks (7- 10 hrs, depending on workload)
Pay Rate and Shift:
3rd Shifts are available 7-10-hour shift depending on workload $18.00 to $19.00 /hr Sorters typically receive on-the-job training from their supervisors or managers. This training may include learning how to use the company's computer systems and software, as well as how to properly sort and organize items. Training may also include how to safely lift and move items, how to clean the facility, and how to interact with customers.
