Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cash Vault Processor for a part-time, on-site opportunity in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for candidates with cash handling experience who enjoy operational work in a secure financial services environment. The position is similar to a bank teller role, but without direct customer interaction. This assignment offers structured on-the-job training, close supervisor support, and the opportunity to build experience in cash vault operations. You will work as part of a team that values accuracy, consistency, accountability, and safe handling of financial materials. Candidates who are dependable, focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, batch, process, and distribute cash-related work according to established procedures.
  • Perform routine clerical operations, including filing, photocopying, answering phones, and preparing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Accurately handle, sort, and process cash transactions while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Follow supervisor direction, escalate questions or issues appropriately, and work under close supervision.
  • Support daily cash vault operations by completing assigned tasks within business deadlines.
  • Maintain reliability, accuracy, and productivity in a secure, deadline-driven financial operations environment. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Rate:
    $19.50 per hour.
  • Job Type:
    Part time.
  • Standard Hours:
    20 hours per week.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or flexibility to work scheduled hours until all daily operational tasks are completed based on business needs.
  • Worksite:
    On-site at 2613 Austin St, Houston, TX 77004.
  • Anticipated Duration:
    6-month contract with possible conversion based on performance.
  • Training:
    2 weeks of on-the-job training, generally 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or until work is completed, with schedule flexibility based on business operations.

  • Process cash vault transactions and related financial materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive, log, batch, sort, and distribute operational work.
  • Support routine clerical tasks and daily production deadlines.
  • Follow established procedures in a secure, closely supervised financial operations setting.
  • Cash handling experience is required.
  • Cash vault experience is required or strongly preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including 6 to 8 hours or more per shift.
  • Ability to regularly lift, pull, and maneuver 50 or more pounds, including vault-related materials.
  • Willingness and availability to work additional or extended hours as business needs require.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when handling financial materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Dependable, consistent, and able to follow established procedures with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in 10-key numerical data entry with speed and accuracy.
  • Experience filling orders and processing cash transactions efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of cash sorting machines, including setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience in a demanding operational environment requiring consistency, reliability, and accuracy.
