Material Coordinator Job Location:
Yorktown Naval Weapons Station (Cheatham Annex),
Williamsburg, VA Summary:
Our company is searching for a Material Coordinator to join our small team as a contractor for the US Navy. We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual who can withstand uncontrolled temperatures, both hot and cold. A good candidate will pay close attention to detail, follow directions, double-check their work, work well in a group setting or alone, and have strong communication, thinking, and organizational skills. Our company offers great compensation and benefits. Duties to include but not limited to: Create shipping documents; create shipping reports; file shipping documents Access SERMIS to obtain information needed for tasks Maintain 51 Record database and physical 51 Record files Load/Unload trucks as needed Pull/Prepare assets for shipment Validate/Inspect assets as requested to ensure inventory accuracy Always treat assets with care and concern Identify damaged, lost, or missing assets and notify supervisor immediately Assist in cleanliness of warehouse Operate/work with heavy equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts Assist with receiving assets by inspecting identifying markers such as part number, cage, serial number, barcode and status code
Qualifications/Skills:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Current forklift certification a plus
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to work alone or with others
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Good organizational skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Problem Solver
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Access a plus
Requirements:
You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal Successful Completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail to pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
