Job Summary Apply at usps.com/Careers Join our team as an Assistant Rural Carrier and become a vital part of delivering essential services to our local communities. In this role, you will assist with the safe and efficient delivery of packages using your driving skills. You will support rural routes by loading and delivering parcels while adhering to safety standards and traffic regulations. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your customer service skills and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in your customers' lives. This job will be posted from August 28 to September 1st, apply at USPS.com/Careers Responsibilities Safely operate your delivery vehicle for delivery routes, in a variety of weather conditions. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and carrying those packages to houses. Deliver parcels to designated rural addresses accurately and on time. Follow all traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices during route driving. Use mobile devices to document deliveries, update route information, and communicate with postal clerks and management Qualifications Previous experience in delivery driving is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and a personal vehicle that you will be delivering parcels out of (company vehicle may be available, but is not promised) Knowledge of safe lifting practices - familiarity with Tetris a plus! Strong customer service skills with a friendly approach to interacting with customers during deliveries. Must be able to pass a drug screening Join us in delivering excellence! From $21.89 per hour
