+ Resort is looking for a friendly, dependable, and highly organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! Our reception team is the first and last impression our clients have of our hospital. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, loves animals, communicates well, and can stay positive and organized in a busy veterinary environment. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will help keep our hospital running smoothly while providing an excellent experience for our clients and their pets.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting clients and patients and assisting with check-in and check-out Answering a high volume of phone calls, texts, and client questions Scheduling appointments appropriately based on patient needs Communicating with doctors, technicians, resort staff, and other team members Reviewing and collecting payments and ensuring invoices are complete Updating client and patient information Helping coordinate prescription and food requests Relaying messages accurately and efficiently Providing compassionate support to clients during stressful or emotional situations Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Helping keep patient and client flow moving throughout the day Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Friendly, professional, and comfortable communicating with all types of people Dependable and punctual Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable using computers and learning new software Able to remain calm and professional when things get busy A strong team player who is willing to jump in and help where needed Compassionate with both people and animals Able to communicate clearly and professionally in person, over the phone, and through written messages Previous veterinary or medical reception experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn. Our hospital provides wellness and sick care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, urgent care, and more, while our resort offers boarding, daycare, and grooming. We are a busy practice, so this position is best suited for someone who enjoys staying active, working as part of a team, and having something different to do every day.
