Job Overview Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your energetic and positive attitude will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this vital role, you will facilitate smooth clinic operations by managing appointments, handling client communications, and supporting veterinary staff with essential administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's daily calendar efficiently. Handle medical collections accurately, ensuring proper documentation and billing procedures are followed. Maintain detailed records of pet histories, treatments, and laboratory results with precision. Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding treatment plans and follow-up care. Manage laboratory samples and perform basic laboratory tasks to support diagnostic processes. Contribute to a safe environment by understanding veterinary terminology and applying animal restraint techniques effectively. Qualifications Prior experience in veterinary clinics or animal care settings is highly desirable; veterinary experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology. Knowledge of heartworm prevention and flea and tick control. Strong computer skills. Experience with kennel management, pet grooming, dog training, or large animal experience is a plus. Ability to communicate clearly with clients about pet care needs and treatment plans. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
