Keep reading. Kiehl Ave Animal Clinic is a busy, established two-doctor veterinary practice in Sherwood, Arkansas. We have been caring for pets and their people since 1977 and moved into our beautiful, remodeled facility in 2014. Our doctors primarily see dogs, cats, and small exotic pets. Our team is focused on three things: taking great care of our patients, taking great care of each other, and continually finding ways to make our hospital better. We are currently hiring two full-time Veterinary Receptionists to join our team. The Schedule This is a full-time position with a four-day workweek . Four 10-hour shifts per week Approximately 40 hours per week Three days off each week Two positions currently available Because veterinary medicine can be demanding, we think having three days away from work each week is a pretty great perk. What We're Looking For Our reception team is the front line of our practice. You are often the first person a client speaks with and the last person they see before leaving. That makes this role incredibly important to our hospital. We are looking for someone who: Is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enjoys working with people Communicates well both in person and over the phone Can answer the phone with a smile—even when five other things are happening Remains calm and professional during stressful or emotional situations Is an excellent problem solver Can multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Has strong computer skills Is dependable and ready to work at the beginning of every scheduled shift Is willing to learn and accepts coaching from doctors and teammates Understands that mistakes happen, but takes responsibility, helps fix them, and learns from them Values the trust our clients, patients, doctors, and teammates place in us Experience and Computer Skills Working knowledge of AVImark Veterinary Software is strongly preferred. Previous experience in veterinary reception, a veterinary hospital, medical reception, or a busy customer-service environment is a plus. Veterinary experience would be wonderful, but finding the right person for our team is just as important to us. Compensation Starting pay is $16/hour and up, based on experience and qualifications.
