Front Desk Associate Arizona Urology - 3.1 Glendale, AZ Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Customer communication HIPAA Filing Scanning Medical scheduling Attention to detail Clinical confidentiality policies Full Job Description Our Front Office Representatives perform a variety of tasks; essential duties include providing excellent patient services via phone and in person. Scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner. Providing detailed visit/procedure/testing instructions to patients. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team or independently. (float as needed) Duties include: Provide detailed information and handouts relative to their upcoming appointments. Scanning all appointment documents into the patient's chart. Making sure that the daily batch scan in completed daily. Making copies of the superbill/encounter form for billing. Preparing Billing batch at the end of the day to be sent over to charge posting/billing in a timely manner. Assisting patients in retrieving their medical records or information from their file. Make sure that patient records are being released to the right patient or patient authorized representative as per HIPAA regulations. Helping with Check- In when backed up by checking in patients, taking chart to the back, scanning patient insurance cards, entering past medical history, entering patient demographics in EMR/Billing system, sending patients an invite to the patient portal, and more Sorting through the faxes and disseminating documents appropriately. Assisting in scanning documents received on the fax into the appropriate patient chart. Answering phones calls directed to the Backline. Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor. Working co-operatively with other departments within the practice. Participating in educational activities and attend staff meetings. Other duties as assigned based on organizational needs Qualifications Medical office experience required / Urology experience preferred Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times Must be detail-oriented and highly organized Firm grasp on medical practices Knowledge of insurance carriers and basic medical terminology Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
