Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team in a flexible front and back office role. This position will begin primarily at the front desk with the opportunity for cross-training as an Ophthalmic Technician. No prior medical experience is required — we will train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and excellent patient service skills. Job Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

Front Office Duties:

Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Answer phones and manage appointment scheduling Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient payments Maintain accurate and organized patient records Back Office / Clinical Duties (after training): Perform preliminary patient testing (visual acuity, autorefractor, etc.) Escort and prepare patients for provider exams Assist physicians with patient flow during clinic Document basic patient history and clinical information in the EMR system

Qualifications:

No experience required (medical experience a plus but not necessary) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment Willingness to learn clinical ophthalmic skills

Schedule:

This is a part-time position (20-30 hours/week). Workdays are primarily aligned with clinic schedules, as the physician is typically in surgery on Thursdays and every other Tuesday. Some flexibility may be needed to provide coverage on surgery days if staffing needs arise

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
