Job Overview Join our shelter team as a Part-time Animal Shelter Receptionist Thursday through Saturday, where your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will create a welcoming environment for visitors, volunteers, and pet lovers alike. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact at the shelter's front desk, managing phone inquiries, and assisting with administrative tasks. Your enthusiasm for animals and excellent customer service will help foster a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Greet visitors, adopters, volunteers, and staff with warmth and professionalism at the front desk Answer phone promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls appropriately Handle data entry tasks to maintain accurate records Assist with clerical duties such as filing, proofreading documents, and managing correspondence Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries about animals, adoption procedures, and shelter policies Experience Recent office management or administrative experience in a busy environment required Strong computer literacy required Experience working in customer service or front desk roles demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and client communication skill Demonstrated ability to handle clerical tasks like filing, proofreading, and quick data entry efficiently Join us in creating a safe, welcoming atmosphere where animals find loving homes!
