Job Description
Description We are looking for a welcoming and organized Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a construction company in Tempe, Arizona. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a positive first impression, assisting visitors and staff, and keeping office activity running smoothly. The right candidate will bring a detail-oriented presence, strong communication skills, and a service-focused approach to a busy workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, clients, and vendors in a courteous and detail-oriented manner while managing the front desk experience.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, respond to general inquiries, and ensure messages are delivered promptly to the appropriate team members.
- Coordinate outgoing packages and mail, making sure shipments are prepared and sent accurately each day.
- Provide general administrative support such as handling basic office tasks, maintaining reception area organization, and assisting with day-to-day office needs.
- Work closely with team members during the onboarding and training period to learn office procedures and support seamless front-office coverage.
- Help maintain a welcoming and business-appropriate reception environment that reflects the company's standards.
- Support scheduling and communication needs as requested, while adapting to a flexible lunch schedule and changing daily priorities. Requirements
- Previous experience in receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative support roles.
- Friendly, motivated, and helpful demeanor with the ability to make guests and employees feel welcome.
- Strong verbal communication skills and confidence handling calls and in-person interactions professionally.
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced office setting.
- Comfortable working in a business casual office environment within the construction industry.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to complete training during the initial onboarding period.
- Basic administrative and office support skills, including mail handling and general reception duties.
