Serving the central coast area since 2007, we are a family-owned and operated practice committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care to our community's pets. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for animal care, and the ability to manage front desk operations efficiently. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while supporting veterinary staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service at all times. Manage appointment scheduling using veterinary software, ensuring efficient flow of daily operations. Maintain client records with attention to detail, including updating pet information and medical histories. Support veterinary staff by coordinating communication between clients and veterinarians regarding pet care and treatment plans. Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, processing payments, and managing inventory of supplies. Qualifications Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital environment is highly preferred, but not required. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and animal anatomy. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle pet handling, animal restraint, and client communication effectively. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques is advantageous. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
