Job Description

IHM School is seeking a joyful and welcoming part-time School Receptionist beginning in August for the 2026-27 school year. The School Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, faculty, visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment that reflects the values and mission of our school. The School Receptionist will report directly to the school Principal. The School Receptionist performs a full range of administrative job responsibilities required for the school office. This includes welcoming all families, students, and guests, answering all incoming calls and directing them accordingly, maintaining office records ensuring confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information, maintaining a comprehensive filing system for student files and records, and other general office tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry. In addition, the School Receptionist will communicate both verbally and in written correspondence positively with the school administration, faculty, students, families, and other IHM School shareholders, and perform other duties as assigned by the principal. The schedule can be flexible, but mornings from 7:45am to 10:45am Monday - Friday is preferred - 18 hours weekly.
Qualifications Candidates must possess:
  • An Associate's Degree or some college experience preferred (Students enrolled in a college/university program will be considered.)
  • Previous secretarial or receptionist experience
  • A warm, friendly, and welcoming demeanor
  • A joyful willingness to serve in a Catholic faith-filled school
  • A willingness to be flexible
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Ability to utilize technology (i.e. Google workspace) in an office environment and to integrate technology as needed
