Job Description

Are you passionate about helping people and their pets? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a team? We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

About the PositionOur Veterinary Receptionists are an important part of the client and patient experience. You will be the first point of contact for clients, helping create a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience while supporting the hospital team.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with clients, loves animals, and can remain calm and organized in a busy veterinary hospital.

Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to clients in person and over the phone Welcome clients and their pets with a friendly and compassionate attitude Schedule appointments and manage patient check-in and check-out Answer phones, respond to client questions, and communicate information accurately Process payments and assist with financial discussions Maintain accurate client and patient records Communicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and other team members Help keep the reception area organized, professional, and welcoming Handle a fast-paced workflow while maintaining attention to detail Assist with other hospital needs during busy and slower periods Work collaboratively with the entire hospital team to provide excellent patient care and client service What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital or pet hospital Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced veterinary environment Compassionate, friendly, and professional demeanor Ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining accuracy Comfortable handling difficult or emotional client situations Strong attention to detail Reliable, dependable, and punctual Ability to work well as part of a team Weekend availability is required Comfortable learning veterinary software and hospital procedures The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is someone who loves working with clients and their pets, enjoys being busy, and understands that teamwork is essential in a veterinary hospital. You should be comfortable juggling phones, clients, appointments, payments, and the needs of the medical team without losing your positive attitude.

QualificationsRequired:
1+ year of veterinary hospital/pet hospital experience Weekend availability Excellent client service skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience with veterinary hospital management software Previous veterinary receptionist or veterinary customer service experience Experience working in a busy general or specialty veterinary hospital
