Our New Facility is seeking for Top TalentsThe best womens hospital in Los Angeles is looking for current RN candidates to staff Operating Room, Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby care units to be housed in our expanding new patient tower facility scheduled to open next year. Maintains confidentiality of department information.
Responds promptly and accurately to all requests, problems, and questions from those in need of help.
Exhibits excellent telephone protocol, e.g. answering promptly, identifying name and department and is courteous and helpful.
Demonstrates initiative and creativity in assigned work, consistently attempting to make things work better.
Uses appropriate judgement and decision making within the scope of position or through appropriate chain of command.
Must be able to work in a union environment.
One to three years comparable experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook.
Computer skills with 40-60 WPM typing.

Job Summary:
Providing clerical and telephone support. Assisting Case Managers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manager.- Obtains general daily tasks from case managers at the start of the shift.
- Prints current floor census, e.g. ICU, 5th, 6th, etc.
- Gets daily managed care admissions; auto fax dictated clinical information from HPF station to health plans or IPAs.
- Prints clinical reviews from Utilization Review Paragon and fax to health plans/IPA daily, confirm successful fax transmittal followed by documentation in Utilization Review notes that reviews were faxed.
- Assists case managers with SNF/ECF, home health, DME/oxygen, or wound vac arrangement/referrals.
- Makes phone calls for difficult placements, fax clinicals to multiple facilities, and complete documentation list for administrative days.
- Collects post-partum delivery data from Paragon- patient view and fax to health plans/IPAs.
- Assists with E-Tar submission.
- Files of clinical reviews.
- Communicates with case managers or other co-workers on important issues.
