Job Description

Front Desk Receptionist for Doggie Hotel We are seeking a driven and committed dog lover who finds value and loves engaging with people, thoroughly enjoys computer work, and a sprinkle of man's best friend. Alpha Dog Lodging is an outdoor play facility for daycare, boarding, and training. We are proud to be a "home away from home" for dogs. Qualifications :
3-4 years of customer service experience Computer efficiency including speedy typing and phone skills Available on the weekend and holidays, including flexible availability Preference is to someone who has experience multi-tasking many high priority responsibilities with a optimistic attitude while providing the best customer service to all our dedicated customers(humans and dogs). This position requires the ability to adapt to change, to be innovative, and communicate clearly. You must have the ability to think critically and have great attention to detail. Alpha Dog team members work diligently at providing safety and comfort for each dog. This requires you to be physically active, but our hard work is rewarded in the form of happy wagging tails. The dogs depend on our reliability so the culture we instill at Alpha Dog creates a close-knit team. We are looking to add another person to our Alpha Dog family who values: Customer service excellence Upbeat/Friendly Exceptional communication skills Willingness to grow and develop within the Customer Service Team Being proactive with a strong work ethic Engagement with staff and dogs alike Creating a safe, fun and clean environment Patience and affectionate when dogs must be disciplined Following directions well Organization and cleanliness Commitment to your team Long-term commitment to Alpha Dog Ability to work full time shifts a week Available to work one -two weekend days Available to work both morning and evening shifts, when needed Available for flexible shifts, when needed Ability to lift 50 lbs. and more Ability to work outdoors in all seasons Ability to be physically active and stand for up to 8 hours Job responsibilities: We will provide resources and hands-on training to prepare you for success. You will be responsible for all while maintaining an upbeat attitude: Daily computer work with our kennel software Gingr Personally, resolve customer issues; updating staff as to resolution outcomes Creating daycare and lodging reservations and scheduling dog assessments Solving any issues occurring on shift such as (but not limited to) a pet that is out of food, not eating, playgroup behavior concerns, follow up on administering medications in a timely manner and contingency planning handled at time of occurrence Up-sell a range of our awesome services (training, puppy social, grooming) Answering regular phone calls and emails inquiring about our company Retaining pet notes and ensuring key information is communicated to Pet Parents appropriately and in a timely manner Supervising and maintaining order in a large group of loud and active dogs General facility sanitation Knowing each dog's placement and escorting dogs to the indoor and outdoor areas Taking a genuine interest and learning all dog names and personalities Meal and medication prep Serve meals and administering medications Remove dog waste Maintain a clean work space
