We are an equine exclusive veterinary practice located in central California. We are a small family owned business. We currently have 2 full-time veterinarians and 1 relief veterinarian. Please check out our website for more information about us at: sweetriverequineclinic.com We are looking for someone who can maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere when communicating with clients and fellow staff members. The candidate must be able to multitask, prioritize, handle stressful situations, and maintain an upbeat and professional manner at all times. This position, on rare occasion, may be requested to assist doctors with appointments to hold or jog horses, and set up or clean up equipment.
Responsibilities May Include:
Answering a multi-line phone. Handle an appointment calendar. Invoice and process payments Operate office equipment. Paper filing and account maintenance. Learn/Use our eVet program Maintaining office cleanliness. Trips to the post office to send out items and pick up mail. Assisting clients with checking in and out. Preparing documents. Preparing lab samples, medication, returns to ship out. Assisting clients with their prescriptions through our online pharmacy. Available for our client education days. Follow all office policies and procedures. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Adheres to all confidentiality policies. Qualifications Must have high school diploma, preferably with a one-two year business school or college completion. Minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience. Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and strong understanding of SAP preferred. Ability to use Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook programs. Ability to maintain high confidentiality. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, have excellent time management skills, and be able to multi-task in a high paced environment. Possess excellent telephone etiquette. Ability to work as scheduled, be punctual and maintain an acceptable attendance record. Ability to follow bio-security department guidelines. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Experience in a medical, or similar, office dealing with scheduling, payments, etc. Bilingual Spanish highly desired but not required. Detail oriented and organized. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Maintain composure under pressure. Be able to keep up with a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Have clear communication skills. Dresses professionally and demonstrates good grooming and neatness. Punctual and shows up ready to work, well-rested and mentally sharp. Attends work regularly.
