Job Description

Receptionist (Part-Time)
Job Purpose:
Provide professional and courteous front desk and telephone support while creating a welcoming environment for customers, guests, and employees. The Receptionist supports dealership operations through customer service, call routing, administrative assistance, and communication coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Communication Greet customers, visitors, and guests in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner Answer incoming phone calls and accurately route calls to the appropriate department or personnel Provide excellent customer service during all customer interactions Assist customers with general dealership questions and basic information Maintain professionalism and composure while handling high call volumes and customer inquiries Support a positive customer experience and dealership environment Administrative Responsibilities Provide administrative and clerical support to dealership departments as needed Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and document organization Maintain organization and cleanliness of the front desk and reception area Coordinate questions and issues with appropriate department personnel Assist with internal communication and message distribution Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Systems & Operational Support Operate the dealership telephone system, POS system, and other required software programs Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation Assist with training and supporting new staff members when applicable Follow dealership policies, procedures, and operational standards Uphold confidentiality of customer and dealership information
Job Qualifications:
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous customer service, receptionist, or administrative experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills Strong organizational and time management skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Basic computer proficiency required Experience using Microsoft Office and internet-based software programs preferred Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Dependable attendance and punctuality required Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer and dealership information Ability to follow dealership policies and procedures Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Preferred Qualifications Previous automotive dealership experience preferred Previous multi-line phone or switchboard experience preferred Experience working in high-volume customer service environments preferred Bilingual communication skills are a plus Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus Experience training or assisting new employees is beneficial
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands for computer and telephone functions Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment Ability to regularly perform repetitive hand and finger movements Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, push, pull, and climb stairs The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
