Job Description
Class Act Dance is looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! Our front desk is the first point of contact for our dancers and families, so we are looking for someone who is welcoming, professional, and comfortable working in a busy, family-centered environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys helping others and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude. Responsibilities Greet dancers, families, and visitors as they enter the studio Answer phone calls, emails, and general questions from current and prospective families Assist families with class information, enrollment, scheduling, and account questions Provide accurate information about studio programs, events, performances, and policies Process payments, account and billing needs Schedule trial classes, makeup classes, and other studio appointments Maintain accurate family and student information in our studio management system Assist with merchandise, dancewear, and other front desk purchases Keep the lobby and front desk area organized, welcoming, and stocked Communicate important information to instructors and management as needed Assist with administrative projects, studio events, and performances Support the studio's day-to-day operations Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during busy or high-stress situations What We're Looking For Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with both adults and children Dependable and punctual Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Able to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers, email, online scheduling systems, and other office technology Able to learn new software and studio procedures quickly Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team Previous experience in reception, administration, retail, or customer service is preferred Experience working with children, families, or in a dance or performing arts environment is a plus, but not required. Schedule and Compensation Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM $17.00 per hour during the training period, with an increase to at least $18.00 per hour upon successful completion of training Additional availability for studio events, performances, or occasional schedule coverage may be requested This position is subject to the successful completion of a background check following acceptance of a conditional offer. All background screenings will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Applicants must also be willing to obtain and maintain CPR certification as well as Mandated Reporter Training.
