Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! We are a low cost, high volume surgery center serving El Dorado County for the past 4.5 years. Our goal at Placerville Animal Surgery Center is to provide surgical services to our clients at a fraction of the cost to help the animals and their owners to the best of our ability.Office hours are:
Wednesday-Friday 8am-5pm, days and hours may vary based on doctor scheduling.Duties:
- Provide outsanding customer service to clients
- Check in patients at intake and discharge to go home.
- Collect payments and prepare estimates
- Manage multi-line phone system
- Keep a clean workspace and reception/front office area
- Confirmation calls /recheck calls
- Returing messages
- Client educaton
- Record keeping
- Communication between veterianry offices and rescue organizations
Skills:
- Basic computer skills
- Positive and proper phone etiquette
- Ability to safely transport animals to kennels
- Customer service
- Multi-task in busy and fast paced environment
- Compassion for all animals and owners
- Ability to take writen and verbal instructions
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting (Required)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
