Job Description
Description We are looking for a personable and dependable Receptionist to support front desk operations in California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment while handling incoming calls and daily administrative tasks effectively. The right candidate will be comfortable managing a multi-line phone system, assisting visitors, and keeping the reception area organized and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors, provide a detail-oriented first point of contact, and direct guests to the appropriate staff or department.
- Manage a multi-line phone system by answering incoming calls promptly, routing them accurately, and taking clear messages when needed.
- Maintain the front desk area so it remains orderly, presentable, and ready to support daily business activity.
- Respond to general inquiries from callers and visitors with courtesy, accuracy, and a service-oriented approach.
- Support routine administrative activities such as handling basic paperwork, distributing correspondence, and updating reception records.
- Coordinate communication between internal teams and external contacts to ensure smooth day-to-day front office operations. Requirements
- Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role.
- Ability to operate a multi-line or switchboard phone system with confidence and accuracy.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented, courteous phone manner.
- Comfortable handling a steady volume of inbound calls while remaining organized and attentive.
- Dependable time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Basic administrative and clerical skills, including recordkeeping and general office support.
