Hart Union High School District, located in the northern part of Los Angeles County, serves approximately 21,000 students in grades seven through twelve in the Santa Clarita Valley. Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, performs receptionist and clerical duties for the District office. Answers and directs all incoming calls on multi-line phone system. Receives callers/visitors, determines nature of business and directs to appropriate destination. Performs routine or specific clerical duties that can be completed in an environment of constant interruptions. The District Receptionist is a clerical position requiring previous experience operating a high volume telephone switchboard, well-developed customer service skills, and the ability to maintain order and control of a central waiting area. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant receptionist or office clerical experience. Bilingual Spanish/English. Some positions in this classification require the ability to speak, read, and write a second language in addition to English, any may require bilingual proficiency for which selective certification may apply (Education Code 45277).
