Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Front Office Receptionist/Admin to join our team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, administrative support, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of medical office procedures and health information management systems. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and providing exceptional customer service. Manage patient scheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth to optimize appointment flow. Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle billing procedures with accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer phone calls professionally, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries efficiently. Assist with medical administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech. Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans documentation and ensuring adherence to medical terminology standards. Experience Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting with proficiency in front desk operations and medical administrative support. Knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and HIPAA compliance. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly preferred. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite for documentation review and correspondence. Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare documentation enhances suitability for this role. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Pay:
$25.12 - $35.25 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
