Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your energetic and positive attitude will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, facilitate seamless client communication, and support veterinary staff with administrative tasks. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment that promotes excellent pet care and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and handle all front desk interactions with professionalism and enthusiasm Schedule appointments, confirm bookings, and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently Collect medical information, update patient records, and assist with medical collections following proper protocols Assist with animal handling, restraint, and kennel management to ensure safety during visits Support veterinary staff with laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and maintaining aseptic techniques Communicate clearly with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs Maintain accurate veterinary software records, manage inventory, and support administrative duties in compliance with DEA and USDA regulations Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and medical-surgical procedures Experience with veterinary critical care, animal husbandry, and animal catheterization techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle client inquiries professionally Ability to handle dogs and other animals safely using proper restraint techniques Familiarity with veterinary clinic operations including front desk support and veterinary administrative tasks Knowledge of veterinary software systems for appointment scheduling and record keeping Understanding of drug enforcement regulations (DEA) and USDA guidelines for compliance in a veterinary setting Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or with companion animals is highly preferred This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal care who thrive in fast-paced environments. Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
