Job Description

Advanced Family Eye Care Optometry is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Receptionist to join our private-practice optometry team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, provides excellent customer service, and can help create a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, personable, and comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide a welcoming experience Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient questions Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately Verify patient demographic and insurance information Collect copays, balances, and other payments Assist with insurance eligibility and benefits verification Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Communicate with patients regarding appointments, prescriptions, contact lenses, glasses, and follow-up needs Coordinate with doctors and other team members to keep the office running smoothly Assist with general front-office administrative tasks Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements Qualifications Previous experience in a medical, optometry, ophthalmology, or customer-service setting is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using computers and learning practice-management software Reliable, punctual, and dependable Strong attention to detail Ability to work effectively as part of a small team Bilingual in English and Spanish What We're Looking For The right candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in providing excellent patient care.
