Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a professional Receptionist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Menlo Park, CA within the financial services industry. This role is ideal for a polished administrative professional who enjoys being the first point of contact for clients, partners, and internal teams. The Receptionist will support daily front desk operations, manage incoming calls, greet visitors, and help ensure a smooth and welcoming office experience. - Answer incoming calls, take accurate messages, respond to general questions, and route calls to the appropriate contact.
- Operate a multi-line phone system in a professional and efficient manner.
- Greet clients, partners, and visitors conducting business with the office.
- Direct guests to the appropriate person or department while maintaining a welcoming reception area.
- Support administrative needs specific to the assigned business area.
- Maintain a professional front-office presence and help ensure a positive client and visitor experience. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $20 to $21 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage front desk reception and visitor coordination.
- Answer and route calls using a multi-line phone system.
- Support client-facing administrative and office operations.
- Provide professional communication support to internal teams and external contacts.
- 3 to 5 years of receptionist, front desk, administrative, or clerical experience.
- Experience operating a multi-line phone system or call director.
- Strong verbal communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to greet clients, partners, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
- Strong attention to detail when taking messages and routing calls.
- Ability to stay organized and calm in a busy office environment.
- Dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple business contacts. Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in financial services or another professional office environment.
- Experience supporting executive, client-facing, or partner-facing business areas.
- Familiarity with general office procedures and administrative support tools.
