We are seeking a friendly, dependable Front Desk Coordinator & Administrative Assistant who enjoys helping people, excels at organization, and takes pride in contributing to a collaborative team of caring professionals. As the first point of contact for our practice, you will play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities and Duties Provide excellent customer service to patients and other medical practices through face-to-face and phone interactions Answer and manage multi-line phone calls, ensuring callers are connected with the appropriate staff member or resource Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff Greet patients upon arrival, check them in, obtain insurance information, documentation, and accurately collect and reconcile patient payments, copayments, and outstanding balances Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments Process and route incoming clinical and administrative documentation in a timely manner Maintain exam room readiness by stocking supplies and ensuring rooms remain clean, organized, and prepared for patient visits Provide administrative support to physicians and clinical staff as needed Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Be mindful of patient confidentiality and security risks, and maintain strict HIPAA compliance Qualifications and Skills High school diploma/GED required (associate or bachelor's degree preferred) At least 1 year of experience in a medical office, healthcare administrative, or medical reception role preferred Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and strong interpersonal communication skills Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to calmly handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks Strong multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail Working knowledge of insurance eligibility verification, benefits review, copay collection, prior authorizations, and payer requirements preferred Proficient in keyboarding/typing and ten-key skills Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems required; familiarity with eClinicalWorks preferred Compensation and Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Paid time off Paid holidays Paid sick leave Parental leave Family leave Bereavement leave Hourly pay range: $21-$24 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
