Balanced Mental Wellness | Part-Time | In-Person | M-F | 7:00/8:00-1:30 ABOUT US Balanced Mental Wellness is a growing, nurse practitioner-led psychiatric clinic dedicated to patient-centered care. We take a personalized, integrative approach to mental health and are looking for a friendly, reliable receptionist who understands that a warm welcome makes all the difference.
THE ROLE
As our Front Desk Receptionist, you'll be the first face and voice patients encounter when they arrive for appointments or call in for follow-up. You'll keep the front office running smoothly, support our care team, and ensure every patient feels seen and cared for from the moment they walk in.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform opening duties e.g. turning on lights, music, sound machines
- Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately
- Check in patients upon arrival and verify demographic and insurance information
- Schedule and confirm follow-up appointments within our EMR (AdvancedMD)
- Collect and process patient copays, forms, and documentation
- Maintain a welcoming, organized front desk environment
- Communicate patient arrivals and relevant updates to clinical staff
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
IDEAL CANDIDATE
You're warm, dependable, and calm under pressure. You enjoy working with people, stay organized in a busy environment, and take pride in creating a positive experience for every patient.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2+ years in medical reception, front desk, or a customer-facing role
- Experience with scheduling systems or EMRs (AdvancedMD a plus)
- Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills
- Genuine interest in mental health and patient-centered care
