Position Overview:
Position is responsible for processing ticket orders by phone, mail, and in-person, while providing superior customer service, and assisting the Box Office Manager with other Box Office duties as assigned.
General Statement of Duties:
Provide a high level of customer service to all Arts Center guests in a friendly, welcoming and efficient environment. Process phone and in person orders using Spektrix, a web-based CRM system. Respond to box office email inquiries daily. Assist with night of show walk up sales and will call distribution, and mail ticket orders. Assist customers with purchase decisions such as performance availability, pricing and seating recommendations. Assist and respond to patrons with information about our Theater. Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of schedule, events and all sellable items. Understand and uphold purchasing policies. Collect complete and accurate data from customers. Contribute to the environment of the box office by maintaining a positive attitude and genuine interest in helping others. Ensure an extraordinary patron experience from first point of contact through the end of an event. Enthusiastic dedication to excellent customer service, a passion for performing arts a plus. Oversight of Box Office representatives over shifts. Ability to pull sales reports. Manages Box Office during show times.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. At least one year of box office experience with a combination of phone and walk-up sales is strongly preferred. Experience working with an integrated ticketing and a patron service management software system preferred. All candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Skills:
Basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft 365 Assist patrons with various needs and effectively solve problems while providing quality customer service. Perform ticketing and clerical duties, including patron file management, patron reception, cash handling, and data entry. Answer all inbound phone calls with the highest level of courtesy and accurately answer all guest inquiries.
