We are a busy, independently owned small-animal veterinary practice looking for a friendly, dependable, and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our team. We are a two-doctor practice with a team of five experienced veterinary technicians , and we pride ourselves on providing excellent patient care while creating a supportive, welcoming environment for both our clients and our staff. About the Position This is a versatile position with a primary focus on veterinary reception and client service , with opportunities to assist the veterinary team as needed. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with both people and animals, is organized and professional, and can confidently manage the responsibilities of a busy veterinary reception area. Responsibilities May Include Greeting clients and providing friendly, professional customer service Answering phones and scheduling appointments Checking clients in and out and processing payments Maintaining accurate patient records Communicating with clients regarding appointments, medications, and follow-up care Managing client accounts and answering general questions Preparing and maintaining exam rooms and reception areas Assisting doctors and technicians with patients as needed Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats Assisting with routine veterinary procedures as appropriate Cleaning and stocking exam and treatment areas Providing general support to the veterinary team Other duties as needed to help keep the practice running smoothly Qualifications & Experience Previous veterinary reception experience is required.
