Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant master-barber team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our salon, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every client. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced barbering environment while supporting our talented master-barbers. Duties Greet clients warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and professional first impression Manage the front desk by scheduling appointments using salon software such as Boulevard and handling client check-ins and check-outs Assist clients with retail product recommendations, upselling hair care, and other grooming club services Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all areas, including hair stations, nail stations, and treatment rooms Support master-barbers with preparation of tools and products for coloring (color theory), and styling services Handle phone inquiries, provide information about services offered including barbering, facials, waxing and straight razor shaves Manage retail stock levels and perform basic store management duties including inventory tracking and sales transactions using retail math principles Assist with mentoring new team members on customer service protocols and grooming club procedures Experience Previous experience in a customer service role within a salon or spa environment is preferred but not required Knowledge of salon software systems such as boulevard or similar platforms is highly desirable Familiarity with hair styling techniques is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism Basic retail sales skills including upselling techniques and retail math proficiency are advantageous Experience with store management tasks such as inventory control or mentoring staff will be considered an asset Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to enhancing clients' barbering experiences!
