Our front desk team is the first point of contact for our members and plays an important role in creating the welcoming, positive environment we want at STIR. We're looking for people who are naturally personable, comfortable talking to people, proactive and willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the gym running smoothly. What You'll Do
- Greet members and guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude
- Check members into the gym and assist with general questions
- Provide customer service and help resolve membership questions or issues
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to basic inquiries
- Give prospective members information about STIR, our membership options and offerings
- Help new members sign up and get started
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional-looking front desk area
- Make periodic rounds of the gym floor to identify equipment or areas that need tidying or reorganizing
- Help return weights, equipment, and other items to their proper locations as needed
- Keep an eye on the overall appearance of the facility throughout your shift and proactively address anything that needs attention
- Communicate member concerns, maintenance issues or other important information to management
- Support the STIR team with other day-to-day needs as they arise What We're Looking For
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of people
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Comfortable handling basic sales conversations with prospective members
- Proactive — you notice what needs to be done rather than waiting to be asked
- Able to work independently while also being part of a team
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, sales or fitness experience is a plus, but not required
