•Waterbury, CT Position Summary We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to provide front-office administrative and clerical support for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Rental Assistance Program (RAP) operations. The Receptionist will serve as a key point of contact for clients, landlords, and members of the public while supporting day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members Greet and assist clients, landlords, visitors, and members of the public in a courteous and professional manner Prepare, type, organize, and distribute correspondence, forms, reports, and other documents Maintain accurate and organized filing systems and client records Log incoming Requests for Tenancy Approval (RFTAs) and update available housing unit listings Prepare monthly client packets for recertification Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and faxes Review initial eligibility applications for completeness and accuracy Operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and multi-line telephone systems Provide general administrative and clerical support to program staff as assigned Handle confidential client and program information with discretion Follow established office procedures and maintain a professional and organized work environment Qualifications / Experience High school diploma or GED required One to two years of related office, administrative, or secretarial experience preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Proficiency with Microsoft Word and ability to learn program-specific software Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to perform arithmetic and percentages Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure Professional and courteous interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse population Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team 10359714 group id: 10117306 Apply now
