Veterinary Receptionist-2 years Customer Service Experience Required 199 Post Road West, Westport, CT 06880 From $20 an hour - Full-time From $20 an hour - Full-time Veterinary Receptionist-2 years Customer Service Experience Required Schulhof Animal Hospital is looking for two additional full-time employees for our front desk. Our "Pet Care Coordinators" are our first line of contact with the public and they are responsible for arranging intakes and discharges for the Pet Spa and the Hospital, as well as maintaining patient records and billing for services. It is also the duty of the Pet Care Coordinator to "sell" our services when a new client calls. As an employee in this position, you will be trained by our supportive staff on our veterinary software and protocols. We will expect you to be a team player, courteous, friendly and portray a caring attitude, as this is the first impression clients get of our hospital. You must be trustworthy, and it is essential that you have an exceptional telephone manner and communicate well in the English language. If you are additionally conversant in any other language, that is a plus! Computer literacy is A MUST, as well as the ability to multitask. You won't be bored, as we have a fairly fast-paced environment. Candidates must also be able to operate a multi-line phone system, be proficient with simple arithmetic or use a calculator, and MUST be able to file competently as needed. Full-time is 30-40 hours a week, and you must be available to work rotating Saturdays. We are flexible with scheduling and try to accommodate our employee's needs. You also must have reliable transportation and be able to be on the job by 7:15 a.m. or stay until 6:00 p.m. depending upon your shift (we open and close on time religiously.) We are offering $20/hour, room to grow, health insurance, a Simple IRA retirement Plan, year end bonuses, continuing education and up to one month paid vacation.
