Job Description

Veterinary Receptionist wanted full-time for busy, expanding, 6 doctor, small animal practice in sunny Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The applicant's personality and communication skills are vital. The applicant must be a team player with a positive, friendly, energetic, outgoing personality. He/she must be able to communicate fluently in the English language both verbally and in writing. The ability to multi-task, prioritize your work, and work independently is a must. The successful applicant will be comfortable working on a computer and previous experience with EzyVet veterinary management software is a plus. Your day will be filled with greeting clients, answering phones, checking patients in and out, filling medications, taking messages for our doctors, stocking shelves, cleaning the lobby and exam rooms, etc. These tasks require quite a bit of time standing but there are times that you can sit while doing tasks. Our operating hours are Mon-Fri 7:30 am -- 7pm and Sat-Sun 9 am -- 5 pm. Weekend shifts are rotated among staff. No on-call shifts. Weekend rotation (Saturday and Sunday) is a requirement of the job, so if you can't work weekends, please do not apply for this position. While we prefer to hire experienced receptionists, we will consider new high school graduates with a great personality and desire to work and learn. Our goal is to hire someone who will become an integral part of the practice and remain with us long-term. Hourly compensation is dependent on experience. The hourly compensation ranges between $14-$18 per hour. The upper end of this range requires extensive veterinary practice experience. Benefits include annual pet health discounts.
